Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines and budgets.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary on-site team, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability.
- Oversee budget management, cost control measures, and financial reporting to ensure project profitability.
- Ensure full compliance with UK Health & Safety regulations (COSHH, CDM), construction contracts, and building codes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
- Manage the procurement process, supplier negotiations, and contract administration to ensure quality materials and services.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to proactively mitigate potential issues.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects (minimum 8-10 years experience).
- Full membership of a recognized professional body (e.g., CIOB, RICS) is highly desirable.
- Valid CSCS Gold Card or equivalent site competency card.
- Strong working knowledge of UK building regulations, planning permissions, and construction contract law.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to influence diverse teams.
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
