Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire construction lifecycle, from ground-breaking to final handover, ensuring all milestones are met efficiently.
- Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols (OSHA compliance) to maintain a zero-incident work environment.
- Manage project budgets and financial forecasting, conducting regular cost analyses to ensure profitability.
- Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and government officials to resolve technical challenges.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of superintendents, foremen, and site staff to foster a culture of excellence.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to building codes and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM are highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of local New York building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in construction management software including Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
