Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Direct all phases of construction projects, ensuring alignment with project plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Operational Oversight: Manage on-site operations, including subcontractors, laborers, and vendors, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce rigorous safety protocols (CSCS, HSE) to maintain zero-accident environments and regulatory compliance.
- Cost Management: Monitor project costs, prepare accurate forecasts, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular progress reports and managing expectations effectively.
- Quality Control: Ensure all deliverables meet Apex Infrastructure’s premium quality benchmarks and industry regulations.
- Team Development: Mentor junior project managers and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex commercial or residential projects in the UK.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: Must hold a valid CSCS Gold Card and be proficient in relevant construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of UK building regulations, planning permissions, and health & safety legislation.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage large cross-functional teams under pressure.
