Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Oversee the entire construction lifecycle, from pre-construction planning to final project closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Financial Control: Manage project budgets, forecast costs, and analyze financial reports to ensure profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Team Management: Direct, mentor, and coordinate with project superintendents, field engineers, and subcontractors to foster a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations, company safety protocols, and local building codes to maintain a zero-incident safety record.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and regulatory bodies, providing regular updates and managing expectations effectively.
- Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control processes to ensure all deliverables meet or exceed client specifications and industry standards.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and mitigate risks and challenges on-site, utilizing innovative solutions to keep projects moving forward.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years in a Senior Management or Project Manager capacity.
- Certifications: PMP certification or LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification is highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam Revu) and MS Project.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing high-stakes projects with tight deadlines.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and clients.
- Location: Must be willing to travel to various job sites across the New York metropolitan area.
