Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Direct the entire construction lifecycle, from pre-construction planning to final project closeout, ensuring adherence to design specifications and client requirements.
- Resource Management: Lead and mentor project teams, including superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors, fostering a culture of accountability and safety.
- Budget & Schedule Control: Monitor project costs and timelines rigorously, implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, local building codes, and Apex's internal safety protocols to maintain a zero-incident work environment.
- Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and delivering exceptional stakeholder satisfaction.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring the timely delivery of materials.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Certifications: Proven experience with LEED certification processes and OSHA 30-hour training.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud).
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams through complex projects while maintaining high morale and safety standards.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
