Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to architectural plans and engineering specifications.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to guarantee projects are delivered on time and within financial limits.
- Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols to maintain a zero-accident work environment.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to provide regular progress updates and manage expectations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of site supervisors, foremen, and tradespeople.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control audits to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and logistical challenges before they impact the project timeline.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Senior Construction Manager or similar role within the commercial/residential building sector.
- Valid CSCS Gold Card and excellent knowledge of UK building regulations and standards.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 4/5 in Construction Management or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of team motivation and performance improvement.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements.
