Responsibilities
- Analyze, evaluate, and price complex commercial lines risks in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
- Manage an assigned book of business, focusing on retention, growth, and loss ratio management.
- Collaborate with producers and brokers to develop customized insurance solutions.
- Prepare detailed underwriting reports and documentation for management review.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure underwriting compliance.
- Mentor junior underwriting staff and participate in internal training initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of commercial lines underwriting experience.
- Strong proficiency in P&C insurance principles and coverage analysis.
- Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, or AU are highly preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
