Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and variance analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP standards.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead the annual budgeting process and develop rolling forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Process Improvement: Streamline financial processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency across the finance department.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional Qualification: ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or accounting.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into strategic business insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
