The Department of Technology and Innovation is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to spearhead our transition to a hybrid-cloud ecosystem. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the availability, security, and scalability of critical digital services that impact millions of citizens. Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain resilient multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) following federal security standards.
- Develop and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning.
- Manage continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to accelerate deployment cycles.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure FISMA/FedRAMP compliance across all cloud environments.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex latency or reliability issues in production.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional government teams.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies to drive cost-optimization and service efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and systems engineering.
- Deep expertise in AWS or Azure cloud services and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Solid understanding of zero-trust security principles and government regulatory standards.
- Proven ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
