Join the Department of Digital Transformation and play a pivotal role in modernizing our nation's critical infrastructure. We are seeking a mission-driven Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and secure high-availability cloud environments that support essential public services.
As part of our elite technical team, you will bridge the gap between legacy systems and cutting-edge cloud architectures, ensuring the highest standards of security, scalability, and performance for millions of citizens.
Responsibilities
- Architect and manage multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure) in compliance with FedRAMP standards.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation to automate deployments.
- Implement rigorous security controls and CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless and secure software delivery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize performance and cost-efficiency of government cloud resources.
- Lead disaster recovery planning and ensure high availability for mission-critical public platforms.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on evolving cloud security best practices.
- Monitor system telemetry, conduct root cause analysis, and implement proactive system hardening.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of professional experience in cloud architecture and systems administration.
- Deep expertise in AWS or Azure cloud services and hybrid-cloud integration.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Comprehensive understanding of FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and FISMA compliance requirements.
- Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker) in production environments.
- Must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust clearance.
