Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain high-availability cloud infrastructure across multi-region AWS and Azure environments.
- Lead the migration of critical on-premises government applications to cloud-native architectures.
- Implement robust security protocols and ensure full compliance with NIST and FedRAMP standards.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex system performance and latency issues.
- Mentor junior engineers on cloud best practices, security, and operational excellence.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations to ensure 99.99% uptime for essential public services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, specifically within AWS or Azure.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Proven ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (Public Trust or higher).
- Expertise in container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (EKS/AKS).
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, load balancing, and firewall configuration.
