Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain multi-region cloud environments (AWS/Azure) ensuring 99.99% uptime.
- Lead the migration of legacy monolithic applications to containerized microservices architectures.
- Implement robust DevSecOps pipelines to automate security, compliance, and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate with inter-agency stakeholders to define technical requirements and scalability benchmarks.
- Manage cloud governance, cost-optimization strategies, and resource lifecycle automation.
- Mentor junior engineering staff on cloud best practices and modern infrastructure design.
- Conduct regular performance monitoring, disaster recovery drills, and security audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure engineering.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong background in Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD orchestration tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- In-depth understanding of federal security frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Active US Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one is highly preferred.
