Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain robust cloud environments (AWS/Azure) to support mission-critical state applications.
- Lead the automation of infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement Zero Trust principles and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization to ensure cost-efficiency and peak performance.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and foster a culture of DevOps best practices across department silos.
- Manage disaster recovery strategies and high-availability architecture to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Oversee the migration of legacy on-premise workloads to modernized cloud-native platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure management.
- Expert-level proficiency with AWS or Azure cloud services.
- Proven experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong background in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Experience working within regulated environments (government, healthcare, or finance) is highly preferred.
- Relevant industry certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
