Responsibilities
- Architect and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS GovCloud environments.
- Lead the migration of legacy on-premises applications to containerized, cloud-native architectures.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Implement robust security protocols and ensure continuous compliance with NIST and FedRAMP standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex infrastructure bottlenecks and improve system reliability.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and foster a culture of DevOps best practices across the organization.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive strategies for capacity planning and cost optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in systems engineering or cloud operations.
- Advanced proficiency in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, VPC).
- Expert-level knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong background in container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker) and CI/CD methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage compliance and security frameworks (NIST, FISMA, or FedRAMP).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical government stakeholders.
- US Citizenship is required for eligibility for federal security clearance.
