Nexus Scale Systems is seeking a visionary Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our core platform team. In this role, you will be the architect behind our high-availability distributed systems, ensuring peak performance for global users. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your technical decisions directly impact our infrastructure roadmap and engineering culture.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage secure, highly-available cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Pulumi to automate environment provisioning.
- Develop robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment cycles and ensure high-velocity delivery.
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for production service outages.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization to reduce costs while maintaining peak performance.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in DevOps and site reliability.
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce compliance and hardened architecture standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Deep proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Expert-level knowledge of containerization tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, or Bash.
- In-depth understanding of distributed systems, networking, and security protocols.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale production environments with minimal oversight.
