Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Leverage SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to analyze logs and detect suspicious activities in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches, coordinating with legal and executive teams as needed.
- Security Architecture: Design and implement robust security controls for on-premise and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses before attackers do.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2 Type II.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 2 years in a senior engineering role.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting; deep knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP) and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Tools: Hands-on experience with Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
