Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-region cloud architectures on AWS/GCP with 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines
- Optimize cloud costs through resource utilization analysis and architectural improvements
- Lead incident response and disaster recovery planning for critical systems
- Mentor engineers on cloud best practices and security compliance (ISO 27001, SOC2)
- Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into scalable infrastructure
- Contribute to open-source projects and publish technical thought leadership
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure with 4+ years at senior level
- Expert-level certification in AWS/GCP (Solutions Architect/Professional)
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration
- Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- Strong background in network security and zero-trust architectures
- Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Published contributions to cloud-native projects preferred
