Responsibilities
- Design and maintain highly available, multi-region cloud architecture on AWS.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform and Ansible.
- Lead incident response efforts and conduct blameless post-mortems to improve system reliability.
- Optimize cloud spending through resource rightsizing and architectural improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Implement advanced security protocols and ensure continuous compliance across all cloud assets.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Software Engineering teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Deep expertise in AWS services (EKS, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM).
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically Terraform.
- Fluency in at least one scripting language: Python, Go, or Bash.
- Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes in production environments.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, Load Balancing, VPN, Firewalls).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
