Responsibilities
- Architect and implement cloud-native infrastructure on AWS/GCP using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Kubernetes
- Design CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Spinnaker for automated deployments
- Optimize cloud costs through right-sizing, reserved instances, and architectural improvements
- Implement security frameworks (CIS, NIST) and compliance controls (SOC2, HIPAA)
- Lead incident response and post-mortem analysis for production issues
- Mentor DevOps engineers and establish infrastructure-as-code standards
- Partner with SRE teams to define SLAs and monitor system reliability
Qualifications
- 5+ years designing and managing enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure
- Expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC) and GCP (Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery)
- Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Strong experience with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation
- Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Pro, GCP Professional Cloud Architect) preferred
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, VPNs, load balancing) and security protocols
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
