We're seeking a visionary Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize scalable AWS environments while mentoring junior engineers. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work remotely 2 days/week while collaborating with industry experts in our modern Austin headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization using Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Ansible
- Develop monitoring solutions with Datadog and Prometheus for 24/7 system health
- Perform cost optimization and capacity planning for multi-region deployments
- Conduct disaster recovery drills and infrastructure resilience testing
- Mentor DevOps team members on cloud-native best practices
- Collaborate with SREs to establish SLAs and SLOs for critical services
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC)
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong background in Linux systems administration and networking
- Proven experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS)
- Certified AWS Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent
- Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Knowledge of security frameworks (CIS Benchmarks, SOC 2)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
