Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain highly scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure on AWS and GCP.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Pulumi to ensure environment consistency.
- Lead migration efforts from monolithic architectures to microservices using Kubernetes (EKS/GKE).
- Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines to accelerate developer velocity and deployment reliability.
- Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and optimize cloud spend.
- Collaborate with Security teams to enforce compliance and implement zero-trust networking policies.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices across the engineering department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Expert-level proficiency with AWS or GCP services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC).
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Fluent in scripting and automation languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
- Deep understanding of GitOps workflows and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Proven ability to manage cloud security and cost optimization initiatives.
