Responsibilities
- Architect and implement secure, multi-cloud strategies (AWS/Azure) for federal agency workloads.
- Lead the migration of legacy on-premise systems to modern, containerized cloud infrastructure.
- Establish robust security postures aligned with FedRAMP and NIST compliance standards.
- Mentor engineering teams on infrastructure-as-code (IaC) best practices using Terraform and Ansible.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure zero-downtime service availability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to align IT initiatives with government efficiency goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud architecture, specifically within public sector or highly regulated industries.
- Expertise in AWS or Azure cloud services, including VPC, IAM, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), and serverless architectures.
- Deep understanding of FedRAMP compliance and government-grade cybersecurity requirements.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale migrations from legacy environments to cloud-native platforms.
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical complexities to executive leadership.
