Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the implementation of secure, multi-cloud infrastructure environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Ensure all architectural designs meet FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST cybersecurity compliance standards.
- Lead the migration of legacy monolithic applications to cloud-native, containerized microservices.
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to define cloud strategy, roadmap, and operational governance models.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using Terraform and CI/CD automation pipelines.
- Manage cloud service providers to optimize resource utilization and maintain strict fiscal budget adherence.
- Mentor junior engineering staff on cloud best practices and site reliability engineering (SRE) principles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; Master’s preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise cloud architecture and large-scale systems design.
- Expert-level proficiency with AWS, Azure, or GCP; cloud-provider certifications are highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) and Docker.
- Demonstrated experience working within government compliance frameworks (FedRAMP/NIST).
- Strong knowledge of Zero Trust security architectures and identity management protocols.
- Proven ability to bridge the gap between complex technical requirements and policy-driven operational needs.
