Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and manage highly available, secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) to support federal workloads.
- Lead the migration of on-premises legacy systems to cloud-native, serverless, and containerized architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and implement DevSecOps best practices.
- Ensure strict adherence to FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP compliance standards across all infrastructure layers.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and drive the adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methodologies using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Conduct regular performance audits to optimize cloud spending and infrastructure resource efficiency.
- Serve as a primary technical advisor for executive leadership on emerging cloud trends and digital sovereignty.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure design, systems engineering, or enterprise IT architecture.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform; professional certifications (Solutions Architect Professional) required.
- Strong background in CI/CD pipeline development, Docker, and Kubernetes orchestration in enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in federal cybersecurity compliance (NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP).
- Advanced proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or Go).
- Proven ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
