Responsibilities
- Architect and implement hybrid cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments.
- Lead the migration of critical state applications, ensuring zero downtime and high availability.
- Establish infrastructure-as-code (IaC) standards using Terraform and Ansible to ensure consistent deployment.
- Design robust security frameworks compliant with NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP standards.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and foster a culture of automation and continuous improvement.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee cloud consumption costs to ensure budget optimization.
- Provide expert-level support for high-priority incidents and disaster recovery planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems architecture, with at least 3 years in a cloud-focused role.
- Expert-level knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud services and underlying infrastructure.
- Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins).
- Proven track record of managing enterprise-level projects within regulated environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Active industry certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
