Responsibilities
- Architect & Deploy: Design, build, and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Cloud Optimization: Monitor system performance, analyze resource utilization, and implement strategies to optimize cloud costs (FinOps).
- Security & Compliance: Enforce security best practices (CIS benchmarks) and manage IAM policies to ensure data sovereignty and regulatory compliance.
- Automation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) to automate testing, building, and deployment processes.
- Disaster Recovery: Design and implement robust disaster recovery strategies and conduct regular disaster recovery drills to ensure business continuity.
- Mentorship: Lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers, conducting code reviews and technical architecture reviews.
- Incident Response: Serve as a Tier 2/3 engineer for critical cloud incidents, ensuring rapid resolution and post-mortem analysis.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or Cloud Architecture, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent.
- Programming: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash for automation tasks.
- Containerization: Deep expertise in Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker orchestration.
- Networking: Strong understanding of VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, and Load Balancing (ALB/NLB).
- Database: Experience managing relational (RDS) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
