As a key member of our Product Engineering division, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality benchmarks, implement automation strategies, and mentor junior QA engineers. Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, and performance testing for cloud-native applications
- Lead automation framework development using Selenium, Cypress, and Python to achieve 80%+ test coverage
- Champion shift-left testing by integrating quality gates into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI
- Conduct root cause analysis of production defects and implement preventive measures
- Mentor QA team members on testing methodologies and industry best practices
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define acceptance criteria and quality metrics
- Manage test environments and ensure infrastructure scalability for load testing scenarios
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in QA engineering with 2+ years in leadership/mentorship roles
- Expertise in test automation frameworks and tools (Selenium, Appium, JMeter)
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript for test script development
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Docker)
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent quality assurance credentials
- Proven track record of implementing quality metrics and defect prevention strategies
- Experience testing microservices architectures and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate complex requirements into test scenarios
