Responsibilities
- Lead EHR system optimization and clinical workflow redesign for 15+ hospital departments
- Develop and implement clinical decision support tools using machine learning algorithms
- Analyze healthcare data to identify improvement opportunities in patient care pathways
- Train clinical staff on new informatics technologies and best practices
- Collaborate with IT and medical teams to ensure HIPAA-compliant data solutions
- Stay current with FHIR standards and emerging healthcare interoperability regulations
- Present findings to executive leadership and drive strategic informatics initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Health Informatics, Nursing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of clinical informatics experience in hospital setting
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS)
- Expertise in Epic or Cerner EHR platforms
- Strong SQL and data visualization skills (Tableau/Power BI preferred)
- Experience with healthcare data analytics and predictive modeling
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication abilities
- Deep understanding of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH)
