Responsibilities
- Lead Data Strategy: Design and implement robust data models to support clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.
- Data Governance: Establish and enforce data quality standards, ensuring strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal policies.
- Advanced Analytics: Utilize SQL, Python, and R to perform complex data analysis, statistical modeling, and trend forecasting.
- Visualization: Create compelling, interactive dashboards using Tableau or PowerBI to communicate findings to executive leadership and clinical stakeholders.
- ETL Management: Oversee the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with clinical staff and IT departments to define data requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in clinical data analysis or health informatics.
- Tech Stack: Advanced proficiency in SQL (window functions, stored procedures), Python (Pandas, NumPy), and visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI).
- Compliance: Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and HIPAA privacy regulations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical data into clear business value.
