Role Overview
As a Senior Clinical Data Analyst, you will own the integrity of our clinical datasets. You will collaborate directly with physicians, IT specialists, and operations managers to design data models, conduct complex analysis, and generate reports that drive strategic decision-making. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of healthcare delivery across our network.
Responsibilities
- Lead Data Strategy: Develop and execute data analysis strategies to support clinical research and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Data Integrity Management: Perform rigorous data cleaning, validation, and normalization processes to ensure compliance with HIPAA and provincial privacy standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for clinical stakeholders to translate complex data requirements into technical specifications.
- Reporting & Visualization: Design and maintain interactive dashboards (Tableau/PowerBI) to provide real-time insights to executive leadership.
- Database Management: Utilize SQL and Python to query large-scale clinical databases and extract meaningful trends.
- Process Improvement: Identify gaps in current data workflows and implement automated solutions to reduce manual errors.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Nursing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in clinical data analysis or health information management.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle), Python, and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of EHR systems (Epic, Cerner), HL7/FHIR standards, and clinical workflows.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical clinical staff.
- Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with PIIPPA (Canada) and HIPAA regulations regarding patient data privacy.
