Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end data cleansing and validation of clinical datasets extracted from major EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Develop complex SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, manipulate, and analyze large-scale patient datasets.
- Collaborate closely with clinical leads and stakeholders to identify trends, generate actionable business intelligence, and create executive dashboards.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, data privacy standards, and internal quality assurance protocols.
- Maintain and optimize data warehouses and reporting visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
- Conduct statistical analysis to support clinical trials, quality improvement initiatives, and population health management.
- Train and mentor junior analysts and healthcare staff on best practices for data interpretation and usage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN), Health Informatics, Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of professional experience in clinical data analysis or healthcare IT with a proven track record.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or SAS).
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, EHR systems, and HL7/FHIR standards.
- Certification as a Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent clinical experience is highly valued.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, regulatory-compliant, and team-oriented environment.
