Responsibilities
- Analyze and investigate complex insurance claims to determine liability and settlement options
- Communicate effectively with policyholders, medical providers, and legal representatives
- Negotiate fair settlements while adhering to company guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Document claims thoroughly using our proprietary digital claims management system
- Train junior adjusters and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with underwriting and actuarial teams to identify emerging risk patterns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of property/casualty claims adjustment experience
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in claims management software (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek)
- New York State Adjuster License (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
- Certified Claims Professional (CCP) designation preferred
