Responsibilities
- Lead design and analysis of complex transportation systems, highways, and bridges
- Oversee stormwater management and flood mitigation infrastructure projects
- Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies (TxDOT, FEMA, USACE)
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews
- Utilize BIM/CAD tools for 3D modeling and project visualization
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive infrastructure design experience
- PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven project management of $5M+ public works projects
- Familiarity with TxDOT standards and local permitting processes
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
