Responsibilities
- Lead design and construction oversight for large-scale municipal infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and drainage systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit to ensure compliance with TxDOT and FEMA standards
- Manage project budgets exceeding $10M, optimizing resource allocation and mitigating risks through rigorous QA/QC processes
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical and environmental specialists
- Develop innovative sustainable infrastructure solutions integrating green infrastructure and climate resilience strategies
- Prepare detailed technical documentation including design reports, specifications, and permitting applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with PE licensure in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design with emphasis on transportation or water resources
- Expert proficiency in Civil 3D, BIM 360, and hydraulic modeling software (HEC-RAS, SWMM)
- Demonstrated success managing projects from conceptual design through construction phase
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations including TxDOT standards and FEMA floodplain requirements
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges
- LEED AP BD+C certification preferred
