Responsibilities
- Lead design and construction oversight of major municipal infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and drainage systems
- Develop innovative solutions for sustainable water resource management and flood mitigation
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and contractors
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT, FEMA, and local municipal regulations
- Utilize BIM/CIM technologies for project visualization and lifecycle management
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for infrastructure investments
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure projects
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record of managing projects exceeding $50M in value
- Familiarity with FEMA floodplain mapping and TCEQ permitting processes
- Strong understanding of sustainable infrastructure design principles
- Excellent project documentation and reporting capabilities
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
