Responsibilities
- Design and oversee complex infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and geotechnical analysis
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT, FEMA, and ADA regulations
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers and technicians
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications
- Implement sustainable design practices and BIM modeling protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; PE license required
- 8+ years of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure
- Expertise in hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS) and structural analysis (STAAD.Pro)
- Proven track record of managing $5M+ transportation projects
- Proficiency in GIS software and construction administration
- Strong understanding of local permitting processes
- LEED AP certification preferred
