Responsibilities
- Lead design and analysis of transportation systems, water management networks, and structural foundations
- Oversee project execution from conceptualization to completion, ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Utilize BIM/CAD tools to develop detailed engineering plans and specifications
- Conduct site investigations and geotechnical assessments for complex urban environments
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with external stakeholders (municipalities, contractors)
- Implement sustainable engineering practices and LEED certification protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with PE licensure
- 8+ years of experience in municipal infrastructure design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Strong understanding of AASHTO, ACI, and Chicago Building Codes
- Proven track record of managing $5M+ infrastructure projects
- Experience with environmental impact assessments and permitting processes
- Excellent written communication skills for technical documentation
