Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of transportation systems, drainage networks, and structural foundations
- Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies for large-scale infrastructure projects
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical drawings, and construction documentation using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for municipal and private sector clients
- Mentor junior engineers through technical reviews and professional development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and structural analysis software
- Demonstrated experience with TxDOT and FEMA permitting processes
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification highly desirable
- Excellent communication abilities for client presentations and stakeholder negotiations
