Responsibilities
- Lead Design & Planning: Oversee the conceptualization, design, and development of civil engineering projects, including roadways, drainage systems, and site grading.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards and client specifications.
- Technical Analysis: Conduct detailed site surveys, soil analysis, and structural assessments to inform design decisions.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal building codes, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of technical excellence and safety awareness.
- Client Relations: Collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to communicate project status and technical requirements effectively.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York State is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in civil design and project management.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and Bentley OpenRoads.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of solving complex engineering challenges.
