Responsibilities
- Lead the design and management of complex land development projects, including site grading, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure.
- Prepare and oversee the production of comprehensive construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Navigate intricate municipal permitting processes and represent the firm at planning and zoning commission meetings.
- Perform advanced hydraulic and hydrologic modeling to ensure robust stormwater management solutions.
- Mentor junior engineering staff, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, landscape designers, and government officials.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and client expectations to ensure premium service delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Texas (or ability to obtain via comity).
- Minimum of 6-10 years of progressive experience in civil site design and land development.
- Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, and HEC-RAS.
- Proven track record of managing projects within the Greater Houston regulatory environment.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical data for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong leadership capabilities and a commitment to high-standard QA/QC protocols.
