In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary teams through the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects, from conceptual design to final construction inspection. You will work in a fast-paced environment where your technical expertise directly translates into tangible community improvements.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop detailed design plans, calculations, and specifications for grading, drainage, and utility systems.
- Lead technical coordination meetings with architects, contractors, and municipal stakeholders.
- Perform comprehensive site investigations and feasibility studies to mitigate project risks.
- Supervise junior engineering staff, providing mentorship and technical oversight on deliverables.
- Review and approve construction submittals, RFI responses, and field change requests.
- Implement sustainable engineering practices to achieve LEED or Envision certification goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in site development, land development, or municipal infrastructure.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and StormCAD.
- Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and project budgets exceeding $5M.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Thorough understanding of Houston-area building codes and permitting processes.
