Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of civil engineering projects, from initial concept and design through to construction supervision and final delivery.
- Design & Analysis: Utilize advanced software (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D) to develop detailed technical drawings and structural calculations ensuring compliance with local and national building codes.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with architects, municipal authorities, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met and communication is clear.
- Site Supervision: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and resolve on-site technical issues.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to environmental regulations, zoning laws, and safety standards set by the Ontario Building Code.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for project proposals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Licensure: P.Eng designation is mandatory and required for this role.
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design or project management.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert level in AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D. Experience with BIM is highly preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of solving complex engineering challenges.
