Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects (bridges, transit systems, water treatment)
- Perform advanced structural analysis using BIM/CAD tools and industry software
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering standards (ASCE, DOT)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments
- Mentor junior engineers and foster cross-functional collaboration
- Present technical solutions to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois
- Expertise in structural design, geotechnical analysis, and construction management
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Strong knowledge of Chicago building codes and environmental regulations
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
