Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Perform advanced structural analysis using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and BIM modeling software
- Manage project budgets exceeding $50M with adherence to federal/state regulations (TxDOT, FEMA)
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with external stakeholders (municipalities, contractors, environmental agencies)
- Develop innovative solutions for sustainable infrastructure including stormwater management and green building systems
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical assessments, and construction phase quality control
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expertise in transportation engineering, hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS), and ADA compliance
- Proven project management experience with complex municipal infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of TxDOT standards, FEMA floodplain requirements, and LEED principles
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with ability to present to city councils and review boards
