Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects (bridges, transit, water systems)
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and compliance with local/state regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality assurance reviews
- Coordinate with government agencies and stakeholders for permit approvals
- Develop sustainable engineering solutions using green infrastructure principles
- Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure projects
- Expertise in hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS) and geotechnical analysis
- Proven track record of managing $10M+ construction projects
- Familiarity with Chicago Building Code and IDOT standards
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team development
- Certification in LEED or sustainable infrastructure practices preferred
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
