Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Perform advanced structural analysis and geotechnical evaluations using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring compliance with FEMA, TxDOT, and local building codes
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, environmental specialists, and contractors
- Develop innovative sustainable solutions for stormwater management, erosion control, and green infrastructure
- Conduct site investigations, prepare construction documents, and oversee project implementation phases
- Build and maintain client relationships through transparent communication and technical presentations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project delivery
- PE license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Expertise in structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, and transportation planning
- Proficiency with BIM/CAD technologies and engineering analysis software
- Demonstrated success leading complex projects with budgets exceeding $10M
- Strong knowledge of FEMA floodplain regulations and TxDOT design standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to optimize designs for cost and sustainability
