Responsibilities
- Lead design and analysis of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and transit systems
- Oversee site investigations, geotechnical assessments, and compliance with local building codes
- Coordinate with architects, environmental specialists, and government agencies
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation using BIM/CAD tools
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality control reviews
- Develop sustainable construction methodologies to minimize environmental impact
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in transportation or structural engineering
- PE license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Proven track record leading projects >$50M in value
- Familiarity with Chicago municipal permitting processes
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder presentations
