Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including bridges, highways, and municipal systems
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analysis for complex engineering challenges
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources while ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional teams including architects and contractors
- Develop innovative solutions for sustainable infrastructure using BIM and cutting-edge technology
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, proposals, and technical documentation
- Stay current with industry advancements and regulatory changes affecting civil engineering practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in infrastructure design and project management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal engineering codes and standards
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities with stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies
