Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and urban transit systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and Illinois DOT regulations while maintaining budgetary constraints
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of architects, environmental specialists, and construction managers
- Implement sustainable engineering practices using BIM technology and geospatial analysis
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments
- Manage client relationships and stakeholder communications throughout project lifecycle
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record managing projects exceeding $10M in value
- Familiarity with Chicago Building Code and Illinois Environmental Protection Agency standards
- Certification in Sustainable Infrastructure (Envision) preferred
