Responsibilities
- Lead design and construction oversight for major infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Develop detailed engineering plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM software
- Coordinate with government agencies (TxDOT, FEMA) for permit acquisition and regulatory compliance
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical analysis, and risk assessments
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality control reviews
- Research and implement sustainable engineering practices for resilient infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure projects
- PE license (Professional Engineer) in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Demonstrated experience with TxDOT standards and FEMA floodplain regulations
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for stakeholder presentations
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials
